    Applications are invited for the position of Project Assistant for a Department of Biotechnology funded grant to be executed at the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, Kalyani for determining genetic variants involved in Metformin resistance. This position is contractual and the candidate is required to perform both administrative and research work. The tenure of appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended depending on performance and availability of funds. Details of this position are listed below.

    Essential Educational Qualification
    MSc in any branch of Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Chemistry with minimum of 55% marks.

    Desirable Qualification
    Prior experience in a research setting is desirable.

    Age limit is maximum 28 years on the date of interview

    Consolidated Emolument (₹)
    ₹ 8,000/- (fixed) per month (No other emolument is admissible as per DBT rules)
