Post Description
Pay Scale PAY SCALE – Rs.9300-34800/- (PB-2) plus Rs.4600/- (Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. H.R.A. at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.25,490/-p.m. approximately.)
Age Between 21 and 30 years as on normal closing date. Between 21 and 35 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and between 21 and 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualificaiton (s) M.Sc. in Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
Note 1. Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in case of Candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2. The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of UPSC in case of candidates belonging to SCs or STs if, any stage of selection, the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient numbers of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s)
Duty(ies) A senior Group ‘B’ (Gazetted) post having duties of managerial nature. A JWM is required to work as a Head of Section/Workshop/Office or a Group in the Workshop/Section/Office and be fully responsible for proper working of the Group allotted to him. For this duties and responsibilities, he is to report to Divisional Officer who is a Group ‘A’ Officer.
Probation 2 years
Head Quarter Any of the Ordnance Factories, Units and Head Quarters in India.
Other Details Civilian in Defence Service Group ‘B’ Gazetted Ministerial. The posts are permanent.
