    Qualification:-

    A.    Project Assistants Level-I 2 Posts 

    Post no.               :    1
    Qualification       :    B. Sc Microbiology/ Botany with minimum 55% marks
    Fellowship           :    Rs. 8,000/-(consolidated)
    Job description    :    The selected candidate will undertake the work on sample collection, and isolation 
    and culture of microbial organisms from both seawater and sediment samples and any other works 
    assigned from time to time. Swimming is a desirable.
    Age limit             :    25 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).

    Qualification       :    B. Sc Chemistry with minimum 55% marks
    Fellowship           :    Rs. 8,000/-(consolidated)
    Job description    :    The selected candidate will analyze the seawater routinely for physico-chemical parameters and assist the scientists engaged in offshore cultivation of seaweeds and any other work assigned from time to time. Swimming is a desirable qualification.
    Age limit: 25 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule). 

    B.     Project-JRF / Project Assistants Level-II: 5 Posts

    Qualification       :    M.Sc. Marine Biology / Botany with minimum 55% marks.
    Fellowship           :    Rs. 12,000/-(consolidated)
    Rs. 14,000/- (consolidated) for NET-LS/GATE qualified candidates.
    Job description    :    The selected candidate will work on offshore cultivation of seaweeds and undertake regular diving activities in positioning and maintaining the offshore floating platform. The person having diving certificate issued by the recognized institute will be given preference.
    Age limit             :    28 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).

    Qualification       :    B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology with minimum 55% marks.
    Fellowship           :    Rs. 12,000/-(consolidated)
    Rs. 14,000/- (consolidated) for GATE qualified candidates.
    Job description    :    The selected candidate will work in pilot plant for seaweed processing. He/she will be involved in installation & commissioning of new pilot plant facilities and will undertake regular experiments & data analysis for scale-up & optimisation of downstream processes, viz., gasification, extraction, salt recovery etc. Software based process modeling skills will be considered as a desirable qualification.

    Post nos.              :    4 & 5
    Qualification       :    B.E./B.Tech. in Civil / Marine / Mechanical / Naval Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
    Fellowship           :    Rs. 12,000/-(consolidated)
    Rs. 14,000/- (consolidated) for GATE qualified candidates.
    Job description    :    The selected candidate will work in the area of design and development of modular floating frames, and their installation and monitoring in large scale field trials for offshore cultivation of seaweeds. Software based modeling skills will be considered as a desirable qualification.
    Age limit             :    28 years as on date of interview (age relaxation as per CSIR rule).

    Project duration: Till March, 2017.
    Interested candidates are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for personal interview with biodata on 1st February, 2013 at 10.30 AM at CSIR-CSMCRI Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam Camp, PIN : 623519, Ramnathpuram District, Tamilnadu.
    These posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR. No travelling or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview.
