Technical Skills
- Plan, setup, monitor, and workup chemical reactions independently and isolate product and Optimize reaction conditions for improved yields and output
- Purify compounds by different methods
- Characterization and identification of compounds using MS and NMR
- Maintain a detailed and lucid lab notebook
- Should be able to work with minimal supervision
- Carry out literature searches and mine information for ongoing work from search engines
- Regular lab duties including equipment maintenance, chemical inventory, and lab cleanup
- Run multiple reactions per day independently prepare client reports
- Participate in project meetings
- Mentor junior lab personnel
- Understand and adhere to safe lab practices
- Independently make presentations for your own work and present results
- Stay current with literature in the scientific area
- Regular lab duties including equipment maintenance, chemical inventory, and lab cleanup
