Technical Skills
- Plan, setup, monitor, and workup chemical reactions independently and isolate product
- Optimize reaction conditions for improved yields and output
- Purify compounds by different methods
- Characterization and identification of compounds using MS and NMR
- Maintain a detailed and lucid lab notebook
- Should be able to work with minimal supervision
- Carry out literature searches and mine information for ongoing work from search engines
- Regular lab duties including equipment maintenance, chemical inventory, and lab cleanup are able to run multiple reactions per day prepare client reports
- Regular lab duties including equipment maintenance, and chemical inventory
- Should learn how to plan and execute work for the day as well as the week
- Should work well as part of a team
- Practice safe laboratory practices
