Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Mathematics at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a SERB-DST sponsored research project titled “Numerical Approximation of Optimal Control Problems Using Virtual Element Method” under Dr. Anil Kumar (PI), Assistant Professor in Mathematics, BITS-Goa and Dr. Sarvesh Kumar (Co-PI), Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIST Trivandrum.
1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. Eligibility: Candidates are expected to have post-graduate degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics with first-class (or at least CGPA 6.5) and a good academic background with sound knowledge in Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis as well as knowledge in mathematical software such as MATLAB/ Mathematica, etc. Preference will be given to the NET/GATE qualified candidate.
3. Fellowship Amount: Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- per month for the third year or as applicable based on the SERB Guidelines
4. Duration of the project: 3 Years.
