Bose Institute, Kolkata, invites application on plain paper from the Indian Citizens,
for one temporary post of Junior Research Fellow and one temporary post of Research
Associate in the DST sponsored project entitled, “Targeted delivery of nanoconjugated
methylglyoxal to cancer cells and understanding the bioenergetic difference between normal
and malignant cells at the molecular level”, under the guidance of Prof. Manju Ray (PI) and
Dr. Kuladip Jana (Co-PI). The project is tenable for three years.
1. Position : Junior Research Fellow – one (01)
Essential Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life
Sciences/Biochemistry/Chemistry with CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF / CSIR-UGC-NET-LS /
GATE qualification.
Remuneration: Rs.16,000/- p.m. for CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF qualified candidates,
Rs.12,000/-p.m. for CSIR-UGC-NET LS / GATE qualified candidates, plus
admissible HRA and Medical benefit for both.
Age : Below 28 years as on the day on which the application is made (relaxable in
case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only, as per rule).
2. Position : Research Associate – one (01)
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences/Biochemistry.
Desirable Qualification : Should have experience in animal handling and modern
techniques of biology/biochemistry such as enzyme purification, PCR, western blot,
mRNA expression, cell cytology, FACS analysis, immunological technique etc.
Preference will be given to the candidate with published paper in peer reviewed
journal.
Remuneration: Rs.22,000/- p.m. plus admissible HRA and Medical benefit.
Age : Below 35 years as on the day on which the application is made (relaxable in
case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only, as per rule).
