    Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, invites application for the post of JRF/SRF Last Date: 11/04/2013

    Applications are invited for following three positions in purely time bound research projects.

    One Junior Research Fellow (Code: JRF-1) in project entitled “Microwave assisted chemical modification of wood” funded by DST, New Delhi. The Project period is for 3 years.

    One Junior Research Fellow (Code: JRF -2) / Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in project entitled “New methods of chemical modification of wood for improving dimensional stability and durability” funded by CSIR, New Delhi. The Project period is for 3 years.

    One Junior Research Fellow (Code: JRF-2) in project entitled “Bionomics and management of Purpuricenus sanguinolentus Olivier (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) the stem borer of sandal (Santalum album L.) in Karnataka” funded by DST, New Delhi. The Project period is up to March 2015.
    Qualifications:

    For JRF-1 & JRF-2: M. Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Polymer Sciences subjects with minimum 55% marks and passing of NET (including NET Lectureship) or GATE test.

    For SRF: M. Sc. in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry and two years training in methods of research and aptitude for research assessed from published project work.

    For JRF-3: M. Sc. or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Science with minimum 55% marks and passing of NET (including NET Lectureship).

    The upper age limit for JRF and SRF shall be 28 and 32 years, respectively. Age relaxations upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, Women and physically handicapped candidates. Monthly stipend payable to JRF with NET/GATE qualification is Rs. 16,000/ + 30% HRA. JRF with NET Lectureship qualification will be paid Stipend of Rs. 12000/ + 30 % HRA. Stipend for SRF will be paid as per CSIR guidelines.
