IIT KANPUR invites applications for the post of JRF LAST DATE: 27th Dec 2012

Applications are invited for temporary position of a Project Scientist in a DST sponsored project (Ramanna Fellowship) in the Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur. The Project Scientist will be involved in executing high quality research in the area of computational chemistry using advanced simulation methods. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Chemistry with three years of research experience with strong background on computational work. The Candidate should have a proven record of high quality research using advanced computational methods. Candidates with experience of computational studies of biologically relevant systems would be preferred. Salary range: Rs. 22000-2200-44000 per month depending on qualification and research experience. A letter of reference, preferably from the Ph.D. thesis adviser or research supervisor, should also reach the following address latest by December 27, 2012. The maximum tenure of appointment will be for the duration of the Project (till July 31, 2013).
