    JNU invites applications for the post of JRF from chemistry/environmental sciences candidates

    Applications are invited for the post of "Junior Research Fellow (JRF)" in the DST sponsored Research project entitled "Technology Development for Atmospheric CO2 Sequestration using Biochar derived from Agricultural wastes/byproducts". The work involves field and laboratory investigations.

    Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Chemistry/Environmental Sciences

    Desirable Qualifications: Strong desire to work on the development of Biochars and their applications in Atmospheric CO2 Sequestration with good knowledge of routine analytical techniques. Candidates having relevant experience in the area of surface chemistry, climate change mitigation, biochar development and characterization, activated carbon chemistry, will be preferred. CSIR/UGC/NET qualified candidate will be preferred.

    Fellowship: As per DST norms.

    The project is valid for a period of THREE years .The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year but likely to be extended depending on the performance and project duration or till his service are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for interview.
