A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 06th December, 2012 at 4.00 p.m. in the Office of
the Chairman, Department of Chemistry at the Main Campus of Bose Institute, 93/1, A.P.C.
Road, Kolkata – 700 009 for one position of Senior Research Fellow each in two under
mentioned projects (1) CSIR sponsored project entitled, "Role of microRNAs in the immune
response to mycobacterial infection", under the guidance of Prof. Joyoti Basu, Department of
Chemistry and (2) DBT sponsored project entitled, "The role of two-component systems and cell
division proteins in mycobacterial physiology", under the guidance of Prof. Manikuntala Kundu,
Department of Chemistry. The project No. (1) is tenable upto 30.06.2014 and the project No. (2)
is tenable for three years. Details of qualification, fellowship, age etc. are as follows.
Essential Qualification :
M. Sc. Degree in Life Science / Chemistry with CSIR-UGC
NET-JRF/ICMR JRF/DBT-JRF/ NET-LS/GATE qualifications and two years research
experience.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Molecular Biology and Cell Biology.
Fellowship : For project No.(1) Rs.14,000/-p.m. plus admissible H.R.A. & Medical
benefit for NET (LS)/GATE qualified candidates.
OR
Rs.18,000/-p.m. plus admissible H.R.A. & Medical benefit for
NET-JRF qualified candidates.
For project No.(2) Rs.14,000/-p.m. plus admissible H.R.A. for NET (LS)/GATE
qualified candidates.
OR
Rs.18,000/-p.m. plus admissible H.R.A. for NET-JRF qualified
candidates.
Age : Below 30 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only as per
rule).
