Applications are invited for the following temporary posts in the Department of Ceramic Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi for DST (Government of India) sponsored project entitled “To Develop Technology for Low Cost Manufacturing of a series of Veneering Porcelain Powders and Liquid Products for Metal-Ceramic Frame Work, used on Mass scale in the dental field of Medical, Especially for Rural Area.” The project is sanctioned for three years and the posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the Project. The required qualifications, age and emoluments to be paid are as follows:
1. Junior Research Fellow (One): Qualifications –First class Master’s degree in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Physics/ Applied Physics/Geology or Geophysics (with Mathematics as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level) OR First class Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in any branch of Engineering OR First Class Master’s degree in Modern Medicine/ Indian Medicine (for the areas Related to Bioceramics). Candidate should have cleared NET/GATE. Upper age limit is 28 years (5 years relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidate). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Candidates having M. E./M. Tech. or with experience of research in the area related to the project will be preferred. The applicant selected for this project is expected to register for Ph. D. if found suitable as per IIT (BHU) rules.
Emolument Rs: 16,000/- P.M. fixed + HRA 20% (Rs. 3200/-)
2. Dental Surgeon (One): Qualifications and experience - First Class BDS degree. Candidate having advanced Courses in implantology/ dentistry with minimum three years of clinical experience will be preferred. His main duty will be to optimize the Veneering products for their shades and to observe the physical and chemical properties of products. He will also assist the clinical trial of products. All things equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Age can be relaxed for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidate.
Emolument Rs: 15,000/- P.M. honorarium
3. Project Assistant (One): Qualification and experience: The candidate should hold a Graduation degree with minimum 55% marks or passed Intermediate(10+2) with science subjects and having 2-3 years of experience in a research laboratory. The eligibility criteria may be relaxed for suitable candidate with work experience in the area of project. Age not exceeding 30 years (5 years relaxation for female/SC/ST/Physically handicapped). All things equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Age can be relaxed for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidate.
