Walk-in interview will be held on 5.11.2012 at 10 AM in Room No. 218, Department of Pediatrics, NEIGRIHMS, for the ICMR funded ad-hoc project titled: "Childhood obesity in India: a Multicentre study on its measurement and determinants" for the following post:
Name of post: Research Assistant (Laboratory)
Dura ion of Appointment : 1 year
Type of appointment : Contractual
Salary: Fixed amount of 15462/ - per month
Work institution: Department of Pediatric Disciplines, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Science (with chemistry/ biochemistry) from a recognized
university/institute.
(a) Knowledge in laboratory related activities.
(b) Experience of working T in field work related to health is desirable
( c) Conversant in local language (Khasi}, English and Hindi.

1. Minimum age limit is 18 years, maximum age limit is 45 years
2. The date for determination of eligibility with regard to age, educational qualification and
experience will be the date of interview.
3. Candidates who do not fulfill the above qualifica tions will not be allowed to appear for the
interview under any circumstances.
4. The recruitment for the post is purely for the specified period of the project on contractual
basis.

6. The terms and conditions of the appointments shall be governed by the contractual bond of
the agreement agreed up on by this office and employee concerned
7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

blood sts and storage of samples; quality assurance measures; supervise the laboratory technician and ry attendants; sending the reports to the study site invest igators and the ceo. Coordinate in
imple entation of other project related activities as delegated by the Principle Investigator.
