NATIONAL COUNCIL OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an apex organization for Educational Research, Teacher Training and Development of Curriculum and Instructional material in school education, invites applications for various academic positions for its constituent units all over India. These posts are transferable amongst the constituent units of the Council located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong & NIE Delhi.
Post Graduate Teacher (P.G.T.) (Existing Scale of Pay : Rs.9,300 – Rs.34,800 with GP Rs.4,800)(PB-II)
Essential :
1. Two years’ integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional Institute of
Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; OR Masters’ Degree from a
recognized University with at least 50% marks in the following subjects:
PGT(English)- English
PGT(Maths)- Mathematics/Applied Mathematics
PGT(Chemistry)- Chemistry/Bio.Chemistry
PGT(Pol.Science)- Pol.Science
PGT(Geography)- Geography
PGT(Commerce)- Commerce with Accountancy/cost Accounting/Financial
Accountancy as a major subject of study. Holder of Degrees of M.Com in
Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.
2. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application.
Note : For subsequent promotion the incumbent will have to acquire B.Ed. or equivalent
degree from recognized university.
Age limit – 40 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST and other categories as applicable
under the Govt. of India rules would be applicable. No upper age limit for Council
employee.
