    Category I:
    NET Qualified (CSIR-UGC JRF or equivalent) – Rs. 16,000/- + HRA; After two years Rs. 18,000/- + HRA
    LS/GATE (Fresh) – Rs. 14,000 (consolidated); After two years Rs.16,000/- (consolidated)
    M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech with minimum 55% marks (Fresh) - Rs.12,000/- pm (consolidated); After two years - Rs.14,000/- (consolidated)
    Qualifications: M.Sc Chemistry (Physical / Inorganic / Organic / Analytical / Materials / General), Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry; B.E/B.Tech (Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology)
    Age limit:  28 years 
    Category II:
    M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech with minimum 55% marks and two years' experience and with LS/GATE – Rs. 16,000/- (Consolidated)
    M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech with minimum 55% marks and two years' experience – Rs. 14,000/- (Consolidated)
    Qualifications: M.Sc Chemistry (Physical / Inorganic / Organic / Analytical / Materials / General), Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry; B.E/B.Tech (Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology)
    Age limit:  32 years
    Category III:
    Ph.D – Rs. 22,000/- (consolidated) as per HRDG guidelines
    Qualifications: Ph.D (Chemistry) with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal as per HRDG guidelines
    Desirable experience: Candidates who have working experience in the field of catalysis/ materials chemistry/synthetic organic chemistry for the synthesis of fine/specialty chemicals/new materials with good publication record are desirable. Candidates who have also worked on biomass and CO2 related chemical transformations are also desirable.
    Age limit:  35 years

    General Conditions:-

    Category II: Senior Project Fellow / Project Assistant level III - 4
    Category III: Research Associate: 4
    For all categories, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes/tribes, women, physically handicapped and OBC candidates. 
    Job description:
    Applications are invited from young, enthusiastic and dynamic research oriented candidates to join the scientific teams and actively involve themselves and pursue in globally challenging projects as outlined below sanctioned under XII Five Year Plan of CSIR-CSMCRI:
    -  Catalytic transformation for fine and speciality chemicals,
    -  Biomass to chemicals
    -  CO2 value addition by making chemicals
    -  Developing novel adsorbents for CO2 capture
    -  H storage materials
    -  Polymer nanocomposites for diverse applications
    -  Recovery of valuables from electronic waste 
    These posts are purely temporary for the duration of sponsored project/scheme only. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR. 
    For positions mentioned against Category I and II may offer a possibility of Ph. D. degree.
